After months of preparation and planning by Wendy Daly and her hard working colleagues at Hillside High School the specialist science week with its SPECIALIST focus on SUGAR has finally arrived. Hillside pupils will now have their opportunity to reveal the REAL STORY of this far too much taken for granted everyday commodity and a new category of blog will be shaped very much by their discoveries and their view of the FACTS of sucrose’s unique story.

Hillside Specialist Science and Languages School, has just registered outstanding GCSE results with 91% of pupils achieving 5 or more A to C grades and next week I am delighted to announce that it will dedicate its annual specialist week (21st to the 25th September) to SUGAR!
